UPDATE 10:25am PDT – OK, NOW Mo’Kelly got the information he was waiting on…this looks…looks like a suicide.  Many bottles of prescription pills were found in Vesta’s hotel room.  Mo’Kelly says it “looks” like a suicide because the medical examiner hasn’t officially ruled that the pills were the cause…but did NOT declare it a homicide.

(Which explains a very cryptic tweet by singer Shanice this morning wondering why the outpouring of support for Vesta “now” and not while she was alive.)

Given that the details of her death her easy to come by (up to a point but not real specifics) Mo’Kelly suspected suicide.  Out of respect Mo’Kelly won’t comment further.  This is sad and unfortunately too reminiscent of Phyllis Hyman.
