June 22, 1984, The Karate Kid was released. Little did anyone know that almost 40 years later the franchise would be more popular than ever before, with a new generation television series on Netflix, Cobra Kai. Not only that, the series Cobra Kai would spawn its own generation of movie stars. Actor Xolo Maridueña, who stars in Cobra Kai, which is preparing for its 6th and final season is ready to be introduced to the cinematic world as “Blue Beetle” which hits theaters on August 18th.

But did you know, we talked to both William Zabka of The Karate Kid, yes Johnny Lawrence! Did you know we talked to him right before the Jaden Smith reboot hit theaters and got his thoughts on it? Did you know we also talked to Xolo Mariduena of Cobra Kai right after season 1 of the smash hit series, and he recounted working with Zabka and gave us all the behind-the-scenes training they underwent?
