Rick Santorum Goes Racial on Obama Re: Abortion (VIDEO)

This is another one of those times when Mo’Kelly “could” lay out some

Republican Ricky

beautiful editorial, complete with well-crafted arguments on the double-standards of American politics, specifically those of the Republican party.

But why…sometimes the simplest point should stand on its own.

Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator attempted to connect some unrelated dots, argued in effect that since President Obama is a “Black man” he would be more sympathetic to the idea of the value of all human life and repeal Roe V. Wade.

To the point…

When Republicans consistently and conveniently invoke Obama’s race…it’s not “playing the race card” it’s making a “principled argument.”

The question is, and this is what Barack Obama didn’t want to answer — is that human life a person under the constitution?” he said. “And Barack Obama says no. Well if that human life is not a person then I find it almost remarkable for a black man to say ‘now we are going to decide who are people and who are not people.’”

Really…Santorum invoked the constitution…the same one that STILL says we are 3/5th of a person?  THAT constitution?

Now if Obama were to “call on his own Blackness” to address the needs specifically of African-Americans he would be criticized for “racial politics” or kowtowing to African-Americans.

But if he doesn’t “call on his Blackness” to further the Republican agenda…it’s “remarkable.”

Got it.

Mo’Kelly could tear this apart…but why?  It’s not worth the effort, but it needs to be highlighted.  There’s nothing wrong with criticizing the president…any president.

But just imagine if Mo’Kelly said, “the financial crisis is destroying this country.  Mo’Kelly finds it almost remarkable for a White man to say…”

Exactly.

The Republican party does it again and is true to who they are and those who vote for them.

Oh and by the way…Santorum is a rumored presidential candidate.
