UPDATE: The participants have since been banned from the US Open until 2013! Given how old the one dude is…that means banned for life. Just sayin’.
The pair tumbled down the stairs in Section 187, near the top row of the stadium. The fighting erupted during the Novak Djokovic-Philipp Petzschner match, which was briefly halted as the combatants were led out.
The players, along with many fans, stood staring at the fighters. All three were handcuffed and taken to a loading dock area, but released when they declined to press charges.
The older man, who was wearing a Mets cap, was seen in a wheelchair on the concourse being questioned by a police officer.

Last I checked you can not put your hands on someone and get away with it. The woman and the old man were eligible for jail! What I am trying to understand is why she was in his face in the first place.
Agreed…assault and battery. I'm amazed he didn't take off on her. He was a jerk but he didn't instigate the violence at either moment.
I found it amazing that so many men came to the defense of the old man without even judging the whole situation. The woman was wrong for slapping that man and she better be glad that a mouthful was all she got!
The Woman slapped the kid first, he did nothing but keep talking. It looks like the old man attacked him, but it also looks like the kid didn't swing back. Hard to tell. Then the Woman comes in again and pushes the kid, and he pushes her back, and than random people come out of no where to tackle the kid.
Utterly fascinating. wonder what it was all about.
