Last night as President Trump and Chinese president Xi Jinping delivered a joint statement after their meeting, we weighed in on the substance and symbolism of the remarks.
Against the backdrop of the North Korean nuclear ambitions and the rising rhetoric from Kim Jong Un, it’s been unclear where China stands in all of this. There were 250 billion dollars in trade which both leaders touted as coming out of the summit, but the specifics are sparse to date.
