Often times, people wonder what types of feedback The Mo’Kelly Report generates. To be sure, Mo’Kelly appreciates all of your letters, be they positive or negative. It’s confirmation that words still matter. Some readers respond rather eloquently, others with dismissive insults, making one wonder they actually read the piece at all. Either way, Mo’Kelly writes in the hopes of forcing all of us…all of us to challenge our own preconceived notions of right and wrong. Apologies in advance for some of the language, but it needs to shown in its truest light, straight…no chaser.
Incredible! The most intelligent analysis of the Vick/Oprah situation is on the Huff Post! I am a white male who is totally anti-Vick but your article is dead on! Terrific job of providing a deeper insight into the story than the usual knee-jerk stuff. Thank you.
Mr. Mo’Kelly,
You are some kind of funny. I love your report. I find it insightful, clever, informative, and entertaining. As a writer, I can’t imagine you can ask for more than that. Thanks for your voice, and more importantly, your commitment to truth.
Mr. O’KellyI know, I am in my office and should not be sending this email on company time…..however, this was just the moment that I wanted to say that I so enjoy your column. I have read several of your articles, but the one that prompted this email, was the Michael Vick/Oprah article.I am so disgusted by the fact that the world will not allow this man to redeem himself. What really bothers me is if this was one of those Manning’s (Eli or Peyton) the outcome of the story would be completely different!!!! I was so relieved that Vick was advised not to do Oprah (have a lot of respect for her accomplishments), but she would have done her best to humiliate him and force him to go back to that horrible time in his life. All of us have sinned and come short of His glory….why is Michael Vick being held to such a ridiculous standard, an unrealistic one. I happen to love dogs and I think that what he chose to do was deplorable and there should have been consequences for his actions…..but please can we let this go.
Having gotten that out….I really wanted to say that I so enjoy your writing and more specifically your willingness to write the truth. Your bravado at writing what most are sitting in their living room discussing but would not say outside their homes, is to be commended. I appreciate your daring audacity to go out on that limb that most wouldn’t, for fear of retribution. The confidence and intellect depicted in your writing (along with the content or chosen subject matter) simply makes for great reading.
I wish you much success and please keep writing.
Best regards,
Trina B.
I am a fan of Steve but I agree w/u 100%. I was also a child of a bitter woman because my father lied to my mother and I was also compared to him as a liar as well…didnt realize that back then y i felt hatred…the end result is i dont have a strong relationship with my mom and my father still does not know i took the brunt of every mistake he made with her…i am now 50 but wished either one them would have talked to me.
Both should stop and have a very long talk with their son.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Thelma
