It always tickles Mo’Kelly to know end when random, marginally-talented individuals catapult to superstardom; products mostly of imaging and marketing…less to do with actual talent.
Talent can never be over-valued when it comes to a singing career.
Never. Talent trumps all.
Each year Mo’Kelly tells people after watching American Idol…“you can go to just about any Black church in any city in America and can find 4 or 5 people who can sing all of “these” contestants under the table.” Unfortunately, fame is more about a certain (ahem) look and has almost nothing to do with actual talent.
Take Demetrice and Darius for example. Their talent speaks for itself and they’re better than most duos or groups on the radio today. No hyperbole, just truth.
Enjoy…
