Jon Stewart masterfully exposes the “redonkulous” premises that fire the uber-right wing ideologists.
The assumption of ‘moral authority’ by these zealots who lead the beguiled and emotionally enraged around by their ‘catch phrases’ harkens back to the supreme propagandist of our era, Hitler.
No wonder conservatives will not stop evoking Hitler’s memory, name or deeds: he is their play book. Karl Rove, the right’s quarterback/coach, and his ilk are the reincarnation of the hate-mongering, blind-rage inducing propagandist who divided to conquer, who disinformed to confound, and who controlled by extolling and exploiting our differences rather than our similarities.
Those who forget the past are condemned to re-live it. The bible commands us to love one another as we love ourselves. Love and hate can no more abide one the other than darkness can abide the light.
ROTFL….I remember seeing this episode when aired. I literally fell out when he unmasked Bert…I damn near fell out. Great post.
