NBA star Gilbert Arenas didn’t have a license to possess the guns he stored in his locker in D.C…. law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
We’re told there were four guns in Arenas’ locker that were turned over to police, including a gold-plated Desert Eagle — a gigantic handgun.
Arenas could be charged for “CPWL”– carrying a pistol without a license.
As we previously reported, Arenas could also face assault charges stemming from the alleged gun-toting standoff with a teammate on Xmas Eve.
D.C. cops plan to bring in Washington Wizards coach Flip Saunders today for questioning. GM Ernie Grunfeld will be brought in later this week.

Won't Saunders and Grunfeld be pleased to be associated with this stupidity.
How does Arenas avoid jail without it looking like a celebrity double standard?
And are we still to believe that his only motive for bringing the guns to "work" was to keep them away from his newborn daughter? An "explanation" which never made sense in the first place?
And how many pro athletes are, at this moment, illegally in possession of a handgun, while they shake their heads at Arenas "for getting caught"?
Suspended indefinitely and headed for worse…If Stern's actions are any indication, Arenas may not be getting as much "credit" for "coming forward" as he was hoping…
