Rollingout.com Cites The Mo’Kelly Report Regarding Bishop Eddie Long
As pointed out and reported by The Mo’Kelly Report, when you type in the phrase “Eddie Long” or Eddie Long News 2011” to inquire about updates on the sex abuse case, the first thing that comes up is www.eddielongnews.com, which has as a subtitle “the latest on the sex scandal.” But when you click on the website, you are automatically transferred to the New Birth website.
The situation, at the very least, raises questions of propriety and ethics. Are Long and New Birth intentionally deceiving visitors to the site who are looking for information about the scandal and mediation talks?

Mo’Kelly Says ‘Tell a Friend, Tell a Company’
The Mo’Kelly Report and all of its success has been inextricably linked to your
support individually and collectively. Some of you show your support by sharing posts on Facebook, others by sincere emails offering words of encouragement.
Most people have come to know Mo’Kelly through the kindness of someone else, passing along a post or column featured here, EURWEB.com, The Huffington Post, Chicago Sun-Times, Florida Courier, et al.
Don’t worry, this isn’t church and this surely isn’t the appeal right before the offering. Stop clutching your wallets in fear.
It is though a request for those who enjoy or are enlightened by the content featured here to actively spread the word.
Follow on Facebook through its Network Blogs service.
Follow Mo’Kelly on Twitter (@mrmokelly) and expand Mo’Kelly’s (blogo) sphere of influence.
Or for those of you in corporate America, do both and keep Mo’Kelly in mind for future business collaborations. The Mo’Kelly Report has never had a title sponsor but there’s no reason why it couldn’t or shouldn’t. There is a wealth of opportunity for both small and large businesses alike.
The Mo’Kelly Report is a one-man operation. Writer, Editor, Social Marketing Manager, Internet Radio Host, Studio Engineer, Director of PR and of course Publisher. Give Mo’Kelly enough time, I’d come up with 10 more titles to add to the list. The Mo’Kelly Report is both time and revenue consuming, without a doubt.
More importantly, it is unlike any other portal in the blogosphere. News, op/ed analysis, humor, studio interviews, investigative reporting and most importantly a commitment to intelligent discourse surrounding African-American issues ranging from politics to entertainment culture. There is no pool of writers or administrative staff. There needs to be and foreseeable there eventually will be. Mo’Kelly can only grow with your collective assistance in spreading the word.
If you believe in what Mo’Kelly is trying to do on a daily basis as well on a more grand scale…spread the word. Tell someone about The Mo’Kelly Report and Mo’Kelly will do the rest…and do it well.

From the Mo’Kelly Mailbag – Paying it Foward
Back in the day, Mo’Kelly would open up his column on EURWEB.com to
feature young and unestablished writers. For most writers, the hardest part of getting published is just that…getting published. Although anyone can start a blog, demonstrating that one’s writing is of more value than personal requires having someone else publish your work. Will your work stand up to another’s editorial process?
If you can, you will accrue credits of online or print sources featuring your work. The first one is the hardest, but it becomes progressively easier with time and dedication. With that in mind Mo’Kelly wanted to help open the door for other writers. One such writer was…well, see for yourself.
This made my month! Pay it forward Jason, pay it forward.

Subject: Thank you
Mr. Mo’Kelly,
I hope all is well sir.
My name is Jason Henry and some years ago you gave me a chance to showcase by talent by writing an article for The Mo’Kelly report about Randy Shannon and the Miami Hurricanes. Since then I’ve spent the majority of my time trying to become a professional journalist, even enrolling as a grad student at the University of Memphis School of Journalism. (I’m enrolled, they’re just waiting for my GRE scores)
Anyway, ever since that column some years ago I’ve had the opportunity to interview athletes, celebs, and politicians. I’m now writing, and getting a little dough on the side, for the Bleacher Report and the West Orlando News.
I’m telling you all of this because I’ll always remember that you gave me a shot way back when and I really appreciate it. I’m not where I want to be yet but I’m close to getting there.
Thanks again sir.

Love and Hate Letters from the Mailbag
Often times, people wonder what types of feedback The Mo’Kelly Report
generates. To be sure, Mo’Kelly appreciates all of your letters, be they positive or negative. It’s confirmation that words still matter. Some readers respond rather eloquently, others with dismissive insults, making one wonder they actually read the piece at all. Either way, Mo’Kelly writes in the hopes of forcing all of us…all of us to challenge our own preconceived notions of right and wrong. Apologies in advance for some of the language, but it needs to shown in its truest light, straight…no chaser.
Incredible! The most intelligent analysis of the Vick/Oprah situation
is on the Huff Post! I am a white male who is totally anti-Vick but your article is dead on! Terrific job of providing a deeper insight into the story than the usual knee-jerk stuff. Thank you.
Mr. Mo’Kelly,
You are some kind of funny. I love your report. I find it insightful, clever, informative, and entertaining. As a writer, I can’t imagine you can ask for more than that. Thanks for your voice, and more importantly, your commitment to truth.
Mr. O’KellyI know, I am in my office and should not be sending this email on company time…..however, this was just the moment that I wanted to say that I so enjoy your column. I have read several of your articles, but the one that prompted this email, was the Michael Vick/Oprah article.I am so disgusted by the fact that the world will not allow this man to redeem himself. What really bothers me is if this was one of those Manning’s (Eli or Peyton) the outcome of the story would be completely different!!!! I was so relieved that Vick was advised not to do Oprah (have a lot of respect for her accomplishments), but she would have done her best to humiliate him and force him to go back to that horrible time in his life. All of us have sinned and come short of His glory….why is Michael Vick being held to such a ridiculous standard, an unrealistic one. I happen to love dogs and I think that what he chose to do was deplorable and there should have been consequences for his actions…..but please can we let this go.
Having gotten that out….I really wanted to say that I so enjoy your writing and more specifically your willingness to write the truth. Your bravado at writing what most are sitting in their living room discussing but would not say outside their homes, is to be commended. I appreciate your daring audacity to go out on that limb that most wouldn’t, for fear of retribution. The confidence and intellect depicted in your writing (along with the content or chosen subject matter) simply makes for great reading.
I wish you much success and please keep writing.
Best regards,
Trina B.
I am a fan of Steve but I agree w/u 100%. I was also a child of a bitter woman because my father lied to my mother and I was also compared to him as a liar as well…didnt realize that back then y i felt hatred…the end result is i dont have a strong relationship with my mom and my father still does not know i took the brunt of every mistake he made with her…i am now 50 but wished either one them would have talked to me.
Both should stop and have a very long talk with their son.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Thelma
