Al Sharpton's People FINALLY Respond to Mo'Kelly

Mo’Kelly’s been sending in requests and forwarding columns for YEARS in regards to Rev. Al Sharpton. You’ve seen the links, the articles, the many critiques.
Interestingly enough, the request today received an IMMEDIATE response from Rachel Noerdlinger, VP of Communications for the National Action Network. You can be the judge as to its merit.

Thanks Mo though it’s inaccurate and a little presumptuous to say Rev. Sharpton has been ducking you. He is fairly inundated with requests and is on the road almost 5 days a week. Has he personally told you he declined an interview? Is he even aware you asked to debate or interview him?

Ms. Noerdlinger,
I’ve sent in repeated requests and forwarded most every article I’ve ever written to NAN’s attention; (nothing unlike today) including when I specifically requested a comment from Rev. Sharpton as to why he had not ever spoken out against Troi ‘Star’ Torain.
As for Rev. Sharpton’s level of “awareness” I think that’s a non-starter/specious question. If he was “aware” of rapper David Banner’s statements on SOHH.com and responded to him (without an interview request no less) it’s fair to arrive at the conclusion he’s mildly “aware” of an ongoing critique over the period of years on my part. It’s intellectually dishonest to assert that you’ve never seen even ONE column of mine criticizing Rev. Sharpton and requesting dialogue nor has he himself.
One of you I suspect has done a google search on “Al Sharpton” in the past five years…can’t prove it, but as his highest ranking media professional, it’s a reasonable conclusion.
But to answer your question directly…I would say “yes” he’s aware. A lack of response is also fair to be considered a declination after a certain amount of time.
In any event, since NAN is now “officially” aware of the request…the next step is clearly yours. I’ve forwarded you my latest article, which also contains links to each and every meaningful statement I’ve made publicly concerning Rev. Al Sharpton.
If it is both “presumptuous” and “inaccurate” to say Rev. Sharpton has been ducking me, the intimation seems to me is that I can now count on you to see this through. Please disabuse me of my presumption and inaccuracies and allow this dialogue to take place.
We’re all “busy.” But I will be more than happy to accommodate Rev. Sharpton if he so sees fit to enter into the dialogue for a 10-minute phone interview with adequate notice.
Respectfully,
Morris O’Kelly
