And none of it is funny…not at all. Here’s a trivia question: guess who is getting boycotted, protested and picketed today?

The New Yorker…correctamundo.

Instances like these are proof-positive as to the TRUE climate in America as Senator Obama embarks on his general election campaign. Do notice the picture of Osama Bin Laden hanging in the background. Do notice the American flag burning in the fireplace.

Industry Ears’ Paul Porter and Project Islamic Hope’s Najee Ali have both mobilized to address this absolutely abominable caricature of Senator Obama and his wife Michelle. Mo’Kelly is surprised there weren’t also watermelon slices and Aunt Jemima strategically placed in this cartoon. Maybe that’s being saved for closer to November.

The July 21st, cover of The New Yorker magazine featuring Barack and
Michelle Obama is both tasteless and insensitive. Plans will be
announced for a national boycott of the New Yorker Magazine.
Advertisers, newsstands and stores that carry the New Yorker Magazine
are being notified of our nationwide boycott.

Democrats, Republicans and Americans find this so called ‘satire”as
divisive and inflammatory. Industry Ears along with Project Islamic Hope
and several other organizations will announce our action plan this
Wednesday (July 16th) at noon.

In a statement Monday, the magazine said the cover “combines a number of fantastical images about the Obamas and shows them for the obvious distortions they are.”

“The burning flag, the nationalist-radical and Islamic outfits, the fist-bump, the portrait on the wall? All of them echo one attack or another. Satire is part of what we do, and it is meant to bring things out into the open, to hold up a mirror to prejudice, the hateful, and the absurd. And that’s the spirit of this cover,” the New Yorker statement said.

The statement also pointed to the two articles on Obama contained inside the magazine, calling them “very serious.”

Republican John McCain’s campaign spokesman, Tucker Bonds, agreed that the cover was “tasteless and offensive.“

Already the cover was generating controversy on the Internet.

The Huffington Post, a left-leaning blog, said: “Anyone who’s tried to paint Obama as a Muslim, anyone who’s tried to portray Michelle as angry or a secret revolutionary out to get Whitey, anyone who has questioned their patriotism — well, here’s your image.“
