The following is Dr. Paulita Brooker’s (2nd from the right – Photo courtesy of AP) official statement as to why she and two others (Dr. John Swails and Dr. Tim Brooker) filed their recent lawsuit against Oral Roberts University. This is another Mo’Kelly Report EXCLUSIVE. Dr. Brooker and I had been corresponding for the better part of this week in trying to bring this together and I’m exceptionally pleased that she chose The Mo’Kelly Report as her first platform. Below Dr. Brooker speaks freely on her time at Oral Roberts University, the contributing factors leading up to the lawsuit and what she hopes to accomplish beyond the stipulations in the lawsuit.

I would like to again thank Dr. Brooker for her candor, sincerity and willingness to move beyond simply the litigation and increase the dialogue. She agreed to offer commentary with great trepidation and respect for her present employer. To that end, Dr. Brooker again deserves both tremendous thanks and credit. Let me begin by saying that we have always had the highest regard for the University. Before I began formally teaching at the university, I had been actively involved with the students through my husband. The students and faculty at ORU are among the finest anywhere, and it was because I enjoyed working with them that I wanted to be employed there. The academic quality is unequaled, and I will defend that regardless of any other issues that have arisen.

The morale in my particular department was extremely low for various reasons.

One undeniable fact is that there has always been a fear among students, staff, and faculty of stepping on toes and what might happen. Over and over again while I was there I heard stories regarding how employees and even students had been treated and I was asked more than once by both why I even wanted to keep my job there. Each time the subject came up the long time employees would make the statement, “It’s what they have always done, I wish someone would finally stand up to them.”

Even though we have not had much direct contact with former colleagues since leaving, we have heard that the majority are glad to have these things out in the open finally and one statement that was made directly to me was that there is a love/hate relationship on campus: they love the university and hate the administration.

Of course there are those that don’t think we should have filed a lawsuit. That was not our first choice, and we had not planned on doing so. As stated many times, we love the university and we love the students. We want it to survive, which is why we took the file to administration to begin with. With the current financial constraints the university was operating under, the information in the files whether true or untrue could be the death knell were they to go unaddressed. However, the fear of asking questions or taking a stand evidently outweighed the long term welfare of the university.

If we were trying to help the university address a problem internally and as a result we all found ourselves without jobs, ask yourself what the average person would do if they worked in a different company and the same thing happened. It’s not about money; it’s about someone finally standing up and saying, you can’t continue to operate in this manner.

If nothing else comes of it, we will have accomplished something just by taking a stand. I won’t use the exact writings because I do not have the student’s permission but when I was first released from the university the students saw the handwriting on the wall so to speak and began their own campaign to show their support for us as professors and mentors.

This particular student in her posting wrote that one thing they had heard many times as government majors was that they had to be prepared as Christians to take a stand. She was calling on the government majors to take a stand in support of their professors.

This hit home with us for the simple reason that if we have told these kids they needed to be prepared to do something, we have to be willing to do the same. If we had just said, oh well-we tried, and left it at that we would have been guilty of talking the talk but not walking the walk.

Does that make it easy? No way…it is extremely difficult, not just for us but for our families as well. But we know that God has directed us down this path. That’s all that really matters.

Oral Roberts University president Richard Roberts…(husband of “Freakmama” and father to the alleged illiterate daughter who has paid employees do her homework…allegedly) has asked for a leave of absence. In his written statement to the board of regents he included the following:

“The last three weeks have taken a serious toll on me and my family. The untrue allegations have struck a terrible blow in my heart. The untrue allegations of sexual misconduct by my wife have hurt the most.”

If the allegations are untrue, then release your telephone provider to publish the text messages in question. An innocent “Freakmama” should have nothing to hide. I guess that would be too much “like right.”

As the specifics of the allegations against Oral Roberts University president ‘Dick’ Roberts come to light, so have more and more gruesome details of the alleged infractions as well as the type of evidence available to support them.

Lindsay is a stone-cold, drop-it-like-it’s-hot, booty-jiggle-dance, freak. And evidently there are PHOTOS to prove it…just like Mo’Kelly said. Here are some excerpts from the lawsuit that WEREN’T covered extensively in the press.

* Dead bolt locks were installed on all bedroom doors at the insistence of the Roberts’ oldest daughter. This was precipitated by Mrs. Roberts repeatedly moving into the home her 16-year old male “friend,” which made her daughters uncomfortable.

* Mrs. Roberts has personally spent the night in the ORU guest house with an underage male on NINE separate occasions. (Draft report references PHOTOS of these events as well as logs from security.) It is reported that this underage individual was allowed to stay in the university guest house unsupervised on numerous occasions.

* 29 photos exist of Mrs. Roberts and an underage male alone in her sports car after midnight.

For those of you who might have been of the opinion that the height of church scandal was when Bishop Thomas Weeks beat the hound dog crap out of his estranged wife in plain view…hold on to your choir robes.

For those of you who erroneously thought that the right-wing evangelicals were done embarrassing themselves with their own skeletons of hypocrisy, you would be wrong.

There’s a new scandal brewing and if it continues in the direction it presently heads, it will make Bishop Weeks and Juanita Bynum seem like respectable ministers in Christ. And THAT’S no small feat.

But since we’re mentioning Bynum…

By now all of us have heard of or seen the controversial video by Bynum asking for 200k “emergency seeds” to be sown on her behalf so she can have a beachfront “threshing floor.”

200k is a lot to ask for any reason…especially for some floor that probably needs four walls and a ceiling to match. Seeing as she footed the bill for a million-dollar wedding, thanks to her parishioners, the threshing floor clearly should come out of her own pocket.

Should…

Now imagine someone asking for $8 MILLION in “emergency seeds. Or better yet, remember when. Televangelist Oral Roberts did just that twenty years ago, under the premise that the Lord would call him home if Roberts was unsuccessful.

Roberts got his 8 million. These days, it makes you wish he came up four or five dollars short so the Lord could have kept his “promise.”

Fast forwarding twenty years, it’s nice to see that Oral’s family is making good use of that money. This week, Oral’s son and president of Oral Roberts University Richard Roberts began answering to numerous allegations of financial misconduct and questionable behavior by himself and family members.

No…the word “questionable” doesn’t even begin to adequately describe the allegations. Mo’Kelly will just run them down for you quickly.

According to a lawsuit, Richard asked a professor in 2005 to use his students and university resources to aid a county commissioner’s bid for Tulsa mayor. Such involvement would violate state and federal law because of the university’s non-profit status. Up to 50 students are alleged to have worked on the campaign.

A longtime maintenance employee was fired so that an ahem…”underage” male “friend” of Lindsay Roberts could have his position. (Stone-cold freak alert! Flash the yellow light)

Lindsay, who is a member of the board of regents and is referred to as ORU’s “first lady” on the university’s website — frequently had cell-phone bills of more than $800 per month, with hundreds of text messages sent between 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. to, ahem… “underage” males who had been provided phones at university expense. (Sound the alarm! Stone-cold freak alert!)

The university jet was used to take one daughter and several friends on a senior trip to Orlando, and the Bahamas. The $29,411 trip was billed to the ministry as an “evangelistic function of the president.” (Mo’Kelly got a “senior trip” to Disneyland which cost all of $40).

Lindsay “Freakmama” Roberts spent more than $39,000 at one Chico’s clothing store alone in less than a year, and had other accounts in Texas and California. She also repeatedly said, “As long as I wear it once on TV, we can charge it off.” The document cites inconsistencies in clothing purchases and actual usage on TV. (With all the underage…ahem, “friends” it’s a wonder she had time to put/keep any of the clothes on.)

“Freakmama” was given a white Lexus SUV and a red Mercedes convertible by ministry donors. (Which were probably driven by the underage…ahem, male “friends.”)

University and ministry employees are regularly summoned to the Roberts’ home to do the daughters of Freakmama’s homework. (Not tutor…but DO the homework)

The Roberts’ home has been remodeled 11 times in the past 14 years. (Who has the time to remodel a house EVERY year?)

So if we just take the “highlights” and condense them into a coherent summary…we can assume the following:

We can assume that no more evidence is needed to verify that Lindsay Roberts is a STONE-cold, bonafide, drop-it-like-it’s-hot freak! Just what everybody wants in the first lady of a church or reputable religious organization…a freak-mama with a penchant for underage…ahem, male “friends.” It may only be a rumor as of yet, but the documented hundreds of text messages which probably include photos likely means it’s probably true. You know there are some cell phone photos floating around of Lindsay that would put Jimmy Swaggart’s worst day to shame. And they CAN’T be pretty.

Do the math…

Mo’Kelly hasn’t even used the WORD remodeled 11 times in the last 14 years; much less know anyone who has remodeled their multi-million dollar home almost annually. It may only be a rumor as of yet, but the receipts on file mean it’s probably true.

We can assume…that if the various employees are doing the daughter of Freakmama’s homework, the daughter is as an idiot in the most literal interpretation of the word

And most important
ly, we can assume the husband of Freakmama, Richard Roberts’ ass is going to jail. Nice to know that Oral and family are still doing “God’s work” and charging people a price for their services…even twenty years later. Say goodbye to Oral Roberts University. It’s one late-night text message to one more underage…uh…ahem…male “friend” from becoming a state park.
