AME Exposed – Frederick O. Murph Interviewed by Al Sharpton
The Rev. Dr. Frederick O. Murph appeared on the nationally syndicated Al Sharpton radio show to discuss the passing of Michael Jackson and his book The Power of Spiritual Thought: You Are What You Think.
What you won’t hear is the off-air discussion of the widening AME controversy and how it’s picking up national steam.
Folks from coast to coast are talking. A year ago, folks wanted to make out Dr. Murph to be a social pariah. Now he’s on national radio? The truth is coming out.
Rev. Dr. Frederick O. Murph on Al Sharpton’s national radio show…a “coincidence?”
Don’t bet on it…
Let’s just say that there will be a part II to discuss “other” issues in the future. Sharpton subtly indicates as such in the interview. You can’t keep everything hidden in the dark, it eventually comes to light.
People are talking. More than that…people are now listening…

AME Exposed – The Rev. Dr. Frederick O. Murph Interview!

You didn’t come here to read anything, so let’s get to the audio. Dr. Frederick O. Murph gives his FIRST interview to The Mo’Kelly Report on the state of the AME church and what happened in between the time he came to Brookins Community AME and his present church, 2nd AME here in Los Angeles.
Listen to the fullness of the interview and then come to whatever conclusion you may. All requests to the 5th District office to get an alternative and on-record viewpoint went ignored. The interview is 30 minutes long and even still, there wasn’t enough time to address everything that most wanted and arguably needed to be addressed. To that end, there will be a Part II in the future. There’s more to come.
Much, much more…
But true to Mo’Kelly’s word, here is Rev. Dr. Frederick O. Murph…in his words.

AME Church Exposed – Special Report: Rev. Jaliwa's Open Letter to Bishop Kirkland

Bishop Kirkland
Here are some excerpts…the full letter can be found HERE
“Then Bishop, there are members here who said they were talking to you 3 to 4 times a week. I understand that some of these members you have a long history with, however the appearance isn’t good or godly. Now could that be considered pastoral interference, especially, if what they say is true, that you told them to stop supporting the ministry under Murph!”
__________________________________________________________
“Too many of us have sacrificed for this church and are very tired at the foolishness that has been allowed to consume us for so long. It is time that we look back to God’s Word to fined instruction and the hope needed to survive in this present time. People are hurting, and here we are paying out 100’s of thousands of dollars, on “preventable” mess. And who will have to pay for it? People like me. People who have been faithful, committed and giving; people who give of their time, talents and treasure; people who are hopeful that the AME church will turn back to the rich legacy and honor of Bishop Richard Allen.”
__________________________________________________________
“In order to bring change, there must be dialogue. Bishop Kirkland and the Council of Bishops, it is my prayer that open and honest discussion can start as we move forward. It is my prayer that together we can stop the hemorrhaging and save our church. This is no time for big EGOs, it’s time for JESUS.
_________________________________________________________
I do understand for every action there is a reaction – and it is my prayer that your reaction will be in line with God’s Word regarding His Church. All of us have sinned, and done things we are not proud of or don’t want anybody to know – however, it’s because of God’s AMAZING GRACE Look back on how God has Blessed you, on where He brought you from, and what He has done through you. It’s not too late for any of us to repent and turn back onto God. that we are here.”

BREAKING NEWS 3.15.09 – 7:40am PDT
Rev. John Hunter, AKA “Pastor John” AKA “head of the Ministerial Efficiency Committee (read: ministerial misconduct adjudication committee), it has been revealed that he has taken out a 2.7 million dollar loan on a church property owned by First AME. Hmmm, wonder where the money is going. Also, he recently convened an “EMERGENCY” meeting of the officers board to have them sign non-disclosure agreements. Hmmm, wonder why he would do that?!

More information HERE
UPDATE #3 – 3.11.09 – 8:30am PDT Here’s the information
“Ward AME settled their portion of the lawsuit in early February for $300,000.
I can tell you that I am 100% sure that John Doe in Los Angeles does NOT have HIV.
It is John Doe T in St. Louis that has been infected, unfortunately.
Also, John Doe in Los Angeles was 16 when the incident occurred in late 2005.”
UPDATE #2 3.11.09 – 7:30am PDT
A person…no correction, PEOPLE with firsthand knowledge of the case have contacted Mo’Kelly will ALL the specifics of the Ward AME settlement and ancillary issues. Given that there is still a legal proceeding at hand, Mo’Kelly is making sure everything is in order before posting “everything” here. Just know, the info is coming! Right now, just dotting the ‘i’s’ and crossing the ‘t’s’ and corroborating the information. I don’t say this with any level of glee. The information is both saddening and disheartening.

UPDATE: Word is trickling in that WARD AME has settled its lawsuit in regards to the alleged sexual molestation of a then 15-year old boy by (the late) Sylvester Laudermill Jr. in 2004. Speculation has abounded whether Laudermill died of AIDS (and not unrelated cancer) and also infected the “John Doe” with HIV. Please email Mr. Mo’Kelly with any specifics regarding this case and the amount of the settlement attached to Mo@MrMoKelly.com

OK, so I lied. Well not exactly. Originally it was intended for Part II in this series on the AME church to feature Rev. Dr. Frederick O. Murph and have him give his sense of the state of the AME church and just how his latest issues have evolved.
And Part III was to feature a female minister presently involved in the AME Church.
Given the tremendous response to Part I, which featured an extended interview with Los Angeles Wave columnist Betty Pleasant, “Part III” desired not to wait. Meaning…Part III then became Part II.
Yes, I will still speak to Dr. Murph and get his first interview since his transfer from Bookins AME, but Rev. Kupaji Jaliwa of 2nd AME church in Los Angeles just couldn’t wait to tell about her trials and tribulations in the AME church…as well as give her personal testimony.
All I can say is that our conversation was powerful. From Rev. Kupaji’s allegations of a pastor threatening to “cut her throat” from ear to ear, to also being assaulted by another female minister…she speaks of experiences and issues of which she’s never spoken publicly or discussed openly.
And with that, I present to you the new “Part II” of The Mo’Kelly Report’s AME Church Exposed series, my conversation with Rev. Kupaji Jaliwa.
