AME Exposed – Judge Irma Brown Dillon – COME ON DOWN! You're Judge of the Year!

Judge Irma
Some loyal members of First AME in Los Angeles emailed Mo’Kelly to inform me that church officer and Superior Court Judge Irma Brown-Dillon had been named “Judge of the Year” for 2009.
Mo’Kelly combed through all the headlines…found nothing. Mo’Kelly called the L.A. Times…nothing. Mo’Kelly checked the Inglewood Juvenile Courthouse website (where she presides)…nothing. Mo’Kelly checked the website of Loyola Marymount (her alma mater)…nothing. Mo’Kelly even texted Pookie ‘n ‘dem…nothing.
But then someone emailed Mo’Kelly back to elaborate. This past Sunday (4.5), Rev. John Hunter, conspicuously absent the week prior proclaimed to all the congregations that the Honorable Irma Brown-Dillon is (drum roll please)
JUDGE OF THE YEAR – 2009!
OK, fine…she’s “Judge of the Year.” Hip Hop Hooray. But Mo’Kelly still has some questions. Let’s stay on topic.
Who was her competition? Judge Joe Brown? Judge Judy? Judge Dredd? Judge Ito, Simon, Paula, Randy?
Who?!

Irma beat me?!
Are there other “judges” who attend FAME and members in “good and regular standing” voted by secret ballot as to who was the “best judge” according to FAME?
Then, another person emailed Mo’Kelly further elaborating…the award reportedly was to honor the “best” judge in all of California.
(Oh, well that’s different then. Uh…not really.)
Anyhow, back to the questions.
Like Mo’Kelly was saying…who exactly was the competition? Who voted? Who decided? Can anyone name 5 judges in the state of California without using the world wide web? From the looks of Mo’Kelly’s emails…NOBODY at First AME voted. They seemed to have found out about 20 minutes before Mo’Kelly did, as to Judge Irma Brown-Dillon being awarded the “coveted” Judge of the Year award for ALL of California…as according to Rev. John Hunter. Can anyone document this “achievement” anwhere? Remember, Mo’Kelly is ALLLLLLLL about documentation.
Mo’Kelly wonders if uber-attorney and FORMER First AME member Tom Mesereau had a vote. It stands to reason he

Tom Mesereau
should have received a vote. He’s “fairly” knowledgeable in the world of law.
(Hey, Mo’Kelly is just wondering out loud…not trying to start anything or make some irresponsible implication. Mo’Kelly knows Tom from Brookins AME, so it was reasonable to mention him.)

See...judges and broom jumping
Hey, Mo’Kelly gets the whole “church award” thing. You work hard in the church, support your pastor unflinchingly, make a mean peach cobbler for all the “Building Fund” events, help him dig the ditches and bury the bodies…you’ll eventually get an award. That’s how the “church award” thing works. If you have a shovel and/or a spatula…a church award is in your future.
That said, Mo’Kelly wonders (just wondering out loud here) wonders what Judge Irma Brown-Dillon “did” that was SOOOOOOO special. Did Judge Irma clear out Pastor Property Taxes’ parking tickets? Or maybe Judge Irma promised to officiate his and Denise’s marriage, assuming they ever wanted to just go’n ahead and jump that broom. They’ve been living together forever, they might as well g’on and make it official. Maybe Judge Irma is going to kick in a marriage certificate and notary free of charge. Just wondering out loud…
In other news…

No wonder he's smiling...
Each time Mo’Kelly researches the arrests of Rev. John Hunter…no paperwork appears. Each time Mo’Kelly speaks to involved members of the LAPD, they are clear in that Rev. Hunter , (yes dude in the picture) has been processed on multiple occasions.
But back to the “church award” thing…
Maybe Judge Irma makes a mean mac ‘n cheese spread. It’s possible. Or maybe Judge Irma has helped more than anyone keeping the streets of Inglewood safe from wayward juveniles. It’s conceivable. Or maybe Judge Irma hooked Rev. Hunter up with free legal advice. It’s even probable.
Oh…and in other news…
Each time Mo’Kelly continues to research the arrests of Rev. John Hunter…no paperwork appears. Each time Mo’Kelly speaks to sources at the L.A. County Sheriff’s department, they are clear in their knowledge of domestic abuse “complaints” handled by the West Hollywood station, related to Rev. John Hunter (you know, grinning dude in the picture) but coincidentally can’t “seem” to find any paperwork to support it.
But back to the “church award” thing…
Maybe Judge Irma has spent an inordinate amount of time mentoring “at-risk” youth in Los Angeles in the name of

Irma Greens...yummy
First AME. Maybe Judge Irma cooks a mean set of collard greens and shares them in the FAME fellowship hall with regularity. Maybe Judge Irma does both…it’s believable.
Mo’Kelly is struggling to understand why Rev. John Hunter has any business giving out awards for the “best” judge in all of California. Does he have extensive experience in the California penal system?
(Mo’Kelly is just wondering out loud. Don’t go reading into that statement and coming to conclusions of which there is no paperwork to support. That would be inappropriate.)
Does Hunter have extensive relationships with most judges in California and can adequately assess the aptitude and performance of all judges at all judicial levels? Mo’Kelly is just trying to understand why in the world would John Hunter feel so “compelled” to thank Judge Irma for all of her good “judge-ness-icity” over the past year. If anyone has any idea (and the associated documentation to match, please forward to Mo’Kelly at Mo@MrMoKelly.com. Mo’Kelly is tired of “wondering.”)

Goes well with Gators
In other news…did Mo’Kelly happen to mention the “strange” non-existence of arrest records on Hunter despite the ankle bracelet and the AME Discipline which is clear that when a pastor is arrested, he is to be sat down until a full investigation can be conducted…regardless of infraction?

Irma Mac...Heavenly
Strange coincidence it is. If anyone happens to have Rev. John Hunter or Judge Irma’s contact info., can you have either/both reach out to Mo’Kelly and go on the record so we can gain better clarity on all of this…”stuff?”
If that’s not possible, then just please email Mo’Kelly the recipe for Judge Irma’s “mean greens” and/or mac ‘n cheese. Very curious to see what the hullabaloo is all about…because Mo’Kelly knows that the greens or mac ’n cheese MUST be the reason she received this “honor”…right?

Hey Mo,
Irma is a trip. She is behind our church spending $70,000 on a full page L.A. Times Ad stating, "John Hunter did nothing wrong by stealing over $122K on a credit card".
Everytime Hunter screws up, Judge Irma bails him out of jail or out in the media. She was the first one who went to Betty Pleasant stating, "John is a wonderful Pastor, and he is what we have dreamt of at FAME". She even told the L.A. Times that "Pastor John has done more for FAME than Rev. Chip Murray".
Judge Irma is a damn trip. She allows John to get away with all types of things at FAME just to keep the Steward Pro-Tem position which is the most powerful Officer in the AME Church.
Keep outing Judge Irma because we feel that she is also corrupt and needs to go to jail. She is condoning everything that John is doing at our beloved First AME Church.
I know what you do you do seriously and sincerely. There are some in the AME ministry that is tired of the negative stigma these crooks are giving the decent men and women of God. Most of the ministers that I know have been not been appointed churches but serve the people with all their hearts. You will never hear about them, all we hear about is the Murph's and the Hunter's and all of the other "Good ol' Boys" ( and girls).
Please know that there are some of us who follow the teaching example of Rev. Murray and the spirit of our Lord Jesus, We know that Rev Murray is not perfect man, but a humble and unassuming soul who has taught us the true meaning of unselfish service. One day, "The first shall be last and the last shall be first"!!!
Has anyone looked into the loan $250,000 to Judge Brown-Dillon husband Randolph (who is a well known womanizer)? Maybe you reserch this better my source, but I hear that his company is a front. Not real. This story is even bigger than what most think. Find out Mo and let us know.
“Hunter’s critics say they are also troubled by the appearance of a conflict of interest over two business loans involving FAME Assistance Corp. and Randolph C. Dillon, the husband of Irma Brown Dillon, a top church officer and Los Angeles County Superior Court judge. Randolph Dillon said he took over the first loan in 2005 after buying the original loan recipient, Base Architecture & Engineering. He said he took out a second loan for $250,000 from First AME in January to support the firm’s expanding business at Los Angeles International Airport.”
Thank You for what your doing, I am a Viet Nam Veteran and I,m being worked over by a Judge. Here is some news I found out at the VA hospital while waiting for treatment, a Judge is a politician and judges can't hurt you for saying your political view, the person who told me isn’t here any more but I believe him, he said it is our right to speak out about politicians for or against. I’m white but I hope this helps because the guy who told me to be more political and who isn’t here any more was black.
